My medical interests include type 1 and type 2 diabetes, obesity, and endocrinology disorders. I am particularly
interested in harnessing technology’s power in improving patient care and exploring the application of novel care
models for large population groups.
I received my medical degree from Edinburgh University in the United Kingdom in 1995. I completed my residency
in Birmingham, where I sub-specialized in endocrinology, diabetes, and internal medicine, and subsequently
completed my London fellowship in 2006.
I worked as an N.H.S. Consultant in Kent, U.K. from 2006-2012, where I served as Royal College Tutor and also
Diabetes Network Clinical Chair. I have 13 years of experience as a clinician-educator. In my most recent role as
Clinic Medical Director 2015-2019, I managed departmental metrics, doubling R.V.U. productivity during my tenure
and halving no show rate. I also led endocrine faculty credentialing and played a crucial role in recruitment. As
Diabetes Program Director 2012-2019, I led a department whose referral base extended across states. Led the
recruitment of new faculty, introducing a physician assistant to assist in seeing hospital discharges more proficiently.
I started transition and C.F. diabetes clinics in the department.
I commenced in post at Mount Sinai in June 2019 as Medical Director at Sinai Morningside & West in June 2019. I
am fully Board Certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, and Internal Medicine by the American Board
of Internal Medicine. I am a Fellow and International Advisor of the Royal College of Physicians of London
The role encompasses:
Oversight of all aspects of the operations and mission of the Diabetes Center at Mount Sinai Morningside and the
